THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 1985
Jazz is re-emerging on the American scene, and students and staff have an excellent opportunity to be a part of the revival Thursday night, February 21st. Brought to you by D.A.C. and S.A.C., (at the instigation of CMC's resident jazz expert Billy Gamble), saxophone master Richard Elliott will rev-up an Athenaeum audience of about 200 during an hour and a half after dinner concert beginning at 8 p.m.
Elliott has performed with an impressive array of hot groups including the Yellow Jackets, Rickie Lee Jones, Michael MacDonald, and, most recently, the three-album group Kittyhawk. On his own now, Elliott has just produced "Initial Approach" and will be touring with Melissa Manchester next month. Tickets are $5.00, and may be purchased during dinner at all dining halls.
