The Race for the White House 2016: Presidential Debate #1

Join fellow students, faculty, and staff to watch the first of the presidential debates of the 2016 season! A focus group with pre-selected students will follow. If you are interested in being part of this 8- to 12-person focus group, please fill out the online form in the "Read More" section directly below.  

Immediately following the televised debate, Zach Courser ‘99, visiting assistant professor of government and research director for the Dreier Roundtable, will moderate a focus group discussion with a pre-selected group of students. Professor Courser will raise questions such as "Who won the debate?" "How did the candidates fare on the issues?" and "Did the debate change your mind?" Audience participation and questions will be encouraged.

Spots are limited. 

Students selected to be part of the focus group will be contacted directly.

Please note: To accommodate the debate schedule, dinner will be served at 5:30 pm. The debate will begin at 6:00 pm and conclude at 7:30 pm. Immediately following the debate, Professor Courser will initiate the focus group discussion. The evening will end by 8 pm.
