Named in honor of CMC trustee and alumnus George R. Roberts '66 P'93, the Roberts Pavilion will be the spectacular new fitness and events center for Claremont McKenna College and the athletic center for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps intercollegiate, intramural, and physical education programs.
The Mid Quad consists of six dormitories: Phillips, Beckett, Berger, Benson, Crown, and Marks Halls. The award winning Crown Hall was completed in 2009, but the other five were constructed in 1950s and 1960s and due for their first major renovations.
The construction of the central plant on the south edge of our campus along the Sixth Street corridor allows the College to fold several mechanical improvements into one project.
It is CMC’s intent to improve the College’s edge condition along Sixth Street, using a phased approach, with landscape and hardscape that promotes CMC’s identity while respecting the views of our neighbors.
