In Memory of Norine Zapata

March 29, 1948 to January 18, 2013

Norine Zapata was Administrative Assistant at the Center for Human Rights Leadership and the Center for the Study of the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights at Claremont McKenna College for 5 years. Her dedication, hard work, and friendship were cherished and greatly appreciated by the students and faculty who worked with her. She retired in 2012.

Ms. Zapata received a Bachelor of Arts degree (’10) from Pitzer College and was previously employed at Nunez Community College where she received an Associate of Business Studies degree(’03).

Mother of David Roy Johnson and stepmother of Jessica Zapata, a Daughter of Lucy Mutz and the late Roger Mutz, Sister of Connie Mutz Bartling. Aunt of Holly Bartling Culverwell (Ross) and Roger Bartling (Christin). Great Aunt to Alma and Lucas Culverwell and Jackson Bartling, Ms. Zapata is also survived by many aunts and cousins.
