Criminal Justice Task Force

The Criminal Justice Task Force aims to promote awareness regarding capital punishment, specifically in the state of California. Together with the ACLU, the Criminal Justice Task Force is working on an anti-death penalty petition for local groups and individuals to sign as well as meeting with local public office holders. Since LA County has an alarmingly large death row, our efforts are aimed at informing and gaining support throughout the LA area. Being well-informed as well as dedicated advocates is integral to our mission.

We are looking forward to bringing speakers to CMC who are leaders in the field of anti-death penalty advocacy on a local as well as national level and to raising student awareness and interest in criminal justice, and continuing work in the field through internship opportunities.
