KLI Partnered Internship Program

The Kravis Leadership Institute has partnered with organizations to create summer internships for CMC students. Internships with partner organizations are expected to challenge interns with meaningful responsibility and leadership development as well as expose the student intern to organizational leadership dynamics. Selected interns will receive a stipend of up to $4,500 to assist with travel and living expenses associated with the internship from KLI. All participants are required to complete the requirements of INT 199, Summer Internship in Leadership, for academic credit.

Save the Children

Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in the United States and around the world. They work with other organizations, governments, non-profits and a variety of local partners while maintaining their own independence without political agenda or religious orientation.

BRAC

BRAC, the largest non-profit in the developing world, was launched in Bangladesh in 1972 and today reaches more than 138 million people with its holistic approach to addressing poverty by providing micro-loans, self-employment opportunities, health services, education,  legal and human rights education and livelihood training.

BRAC USA

BRAC USA aims to foster a better world by increasing BRAC’s visibility as a development success story, harnessing the power of its friends and ensuring support for  a growing number of BRAC organizations around the world to unleash the potential of millions of poor households to create better futures for themselves and their communities.  We do this through three main program areas: strategic and program services, grantmaking and public education.

Deport-es para Compartir - due to a US State Department travel warning, we are no longer able to offer this internship.

The United Nations Association of Mexico, A.C. (UNA-Mexico) and the United Nations Youth Association of Mexico, A.C. (YUNA-Mexico) are focusing their efforts on the program Deport-es para Compartir (DpC) (Sports for Sharing), a civic and educational program whose main objective is to raise youth awareness about the 8 Millennium Development Goals (MDG) through games and physical activity while stimulating interest in and appreciation for the vast cultural diversity in Mexico. DpC promotes consciousness about global challenges in the areas of health and prevention, environment, education, and national culture while encouraging Mexican youth to participate and take action in their communities.

Landesa

Landesa is an international nonprofit organization working to secure land rights for the world’s rural poor.  Landesa partners with governments, civil society and donor organizations to develop laws, policy and programs that help create opportunity for the world’s poorest families through the power of effective land rights.

The Kravis Leadership Institute has partnered with Landesa to offer two summer internships for CMC students in Seattle, WA. Click here for internship description and qualifications.

Pratham

Pratham started in Mumbai in 1994 with the objective of enrolling every child in school and to ensure that they learn well. Today, part of the Clinton Global Initiative, Pratham operates in over 20 states, 57 cities, and in several hundred rural districts across India. Pratham brings citizens, government, and the private sector together to ensure the universalization and strengthening of elementary education. Pratham operates programs in rural and urban communities, working with volunteers, school teachers, and with local governments.
