Dr. Bryan Wilson Taylor II
Dr. Bryan Taylor is President of Global Financial data, which he founded. Global Financial Data provides the largest database of historical financial data available anywhere in the world. The database includes data back to the 1200s on stock markets, interest rates, exchange rates, commodities and other economic and financial subjects. Subscribers include all major US business schools, several Central Banks, hedge funds, mutual funds and other financial firms.
Dr. Taylor received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Rhodes College in 1979, a Master's degree in International Studies from the University of South Carolina in 1981 and a Ph.D. in Economics in 1985 from the Claremont Graduate University. After receiving his Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University, he taught for a year in Switzerland before returning to the United States to teach in California where he taught at Pitzer College, California Polytechnic University at Pomona and California State University, Los Angeles. He was also a broker for Dean Witter for two years.
Dr. Taylor appears periodically on CNBC and writes articles on long-term patterns in financial markets.
