John C. Siciliano
Most recently, John joined New York Life Investments as Senior Managing Director and CEO of the Investment Boutiques, five money management firms based in North America who run approximately $75 billion in assets. John is responsible for oversight of the management, product development, investment performance and core distribution activities of asset management affiliates. John is a frequent speaker and panelist on industry trends, particularly as regards to distribution and mergers and acquisitions.
Previously in his role as Managing Partner of Grail Partners LLC, John focused on business development as well as day-to-day management of the firm. In addition, he was involved in leading both advisory transactions for clients and investment transactions for the firm’s Chalice Fund and Chalice Direct Private Equity Fund. He served on the board of directors of two portfolio companies: Creighton Capital Management and Hillcrest Asset Management, as well as serving as Chairman of Grail Advisors LLC, one of the first Active ETF investment advisors.
Prior to joining Grail, John was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BKF Capital Group, Inc. a NYSE listed company. Previously, he was the head of the global institutional business for Dimensional Fund Advisors (2001-2005); a Managing Principal of Payden & Rygel, a fixed income investment management firm, and President of its mutual fund company, Payden & Rygel Investment Group (1998-2001); co-head of North American Corporate Finance division at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson (1995-1998); co-head of West Coast investment banking division for Prudential Securities (1989-1991); and founder and head of the Los Angeles investment banking office for Smith Barney (1984-1989). He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Technicolor Inc. (1991-1995).
