Claremont McKenna College Professor Emeritus Langdon Elsbree presents a collection of his photographs in an exhibit entitled "Photographs: Ritual, Settings, and Participants" from June 5 to June 30 at the Claremont Community Foundation.
Langdon Elsbree is Professor Emeritus of Literature at Claremont McKenna College. An instructor at CMC for over thirty years, Elsbree retired in the spring of 1994, but remains active through his interests in photography and the ways that narratives help us understand our own experience. He has photographed rituals as archetypal and universal patterns for over forty years. While at CMC, Elsbree specialized in 19th and 20th century English and American literature and edited six editions of Heath's College Handbook of Composition.
