Professor Minxin Pei Featured on CNN and NPR, Discussing Chinese Dissident Chen Guangcheng

Minxin Pei P'11, the Tom and Margot Pritzker '72 Professor of Government at CMC, and director of the Keck Center for International and Strategic Studies, was a featured guest on CNNi's Amanpour, with host Christiane Amanpour, on Monday, April 30. Pei was invited to discuss the recent, dramatic escape of Chinese dissident Chen Guangcheng, also known as the "Barefoot Lawyer."

The segment with Pei, named "Part 2: Case of the Barefoot Lawyer," can be viewed on CNN's Amanpour web site.

The following morning on Tuesday, May 1, Pei was a featured guest on The Diane Rehm Show (WAMU 88.5 in Washington, D.C., for NPR ), also talking about U.S.-China relations, and this week's scheduled talks in Beijing, in light of the Guangcheng's escape.
