Describe your typical day: I would wakeup in my homestay and eat breakfast with my program roommate and host mother and get a coffee on the way to class. In the evenings I would go to the gym, do homework, or hang out with friends in a café. For dinner, we normally went out for tapas with friends.

Favorite food discovered while abroad: I really liked Paella and Spanish tortilla.

What was your favorite part of the city to visit? Parque Lorca was extremely beautiful and a great place to walk around, hang out, or go for a run. It was also cool to walk up into the Albaicin and stop at the miradors which look out over the city.

What was one highlight of your semester off-campus? I loved meeting new people in my program in addition to those living in Granada. Having new friends made the experience great and gave me people to explore and share experiences with.

What was one challenge you faced during your semester off-campus? I am kind of a picky eater, so sometimes eating was a little difficult. My host mother was very understanding and worked with me.

Advice: Try to spend most weekends in Granada. It is an amazing city and you will regret not taking advantage of all your new home has to offer.
