Summer Session 2012: May 21 - June 29, 2012
Monday, May 21, marks the beginning of Claremont McKenna College's Summer Session for 2012. All of our summer offerings are concentrated versions of regular CMC courses and will be taught by Claremont faculty. Summer Session courses embody the college's unique focus on leadership and thoughtful engagement in the world and in the liberal arts. Our many courses are designed to appeal to a broad array of college, graduate, and post-baccalaureate students from Claremont and beyond.
Students can choose to live on campus in CMC college housing and/or purchase a meal plan. Students living at the other Claremont colleges or off campus are welcome to enroll in CMC Summer Session classes and even purchase the CMC Summer meal plan.
Visiting students need to have completed at least one year of college and be in good academic standing at their home institutions. Application details can be found through Summer Session's Registration page. Most visiting students are undergraduate or graduate students from other colleges and universities who wish to pursue their academic interests in small, rigorous courses taught by CMC's elite faculty, and who want to enjoy early summer in southern California.
Students can fulfill many of their general education requirements, or take courses within their majors, or even take an elective or two they might not have time for otherwise. Because summer courses are small, the program offers the opportunity for students to work closely with a dedicated professor. This is a great chance for all students to catch up, get ahead, or expand their academic pursuits. Whatever your reason for enrolling at CMC this summer, we look forward to making this an outstanding educational experience for you. |
