Claremont McKenna College provides an intimate academic environment with a global reach. Our campus community reflects a rich international perspective not only by attracting faculty and visiting scholars from around the world, but in our recruitment of a diverse student population as well.
The College's student population includes a robust representation of international students from many parts of the world, especially Asia. As a part of The Student Imperative, the College's initiative to promote access and affordability for deserving students, the Teng Yue Scholarship Fund has been established to provide assistance to one high school aged student from the People's Republic of China who will matriculate to CMC as a first-year student in 2018.
The Scholarship is designed to cover the costs for a PRC student's 4-year undergraduate career as a member of CMC's Class of 2022.
The Teng Yue Scholarship Fund will cover the following annual expenses for a single student:
- room and board
- travel expenses (two round-trip tickets from the People's Republic of China)
- a small monthly stipend
The scholarship recipient will demonstrate academic excellence, a commitment to responsible citizenship, as well as financial need; the recipient will be chosen by the CMC International Committee.
