An Evening of North Indian Classical Music

Featuring an evening of traditional Hindustani music, this three-artist classical performance will feature vocalist Nandini Majumdar '10, Nawal Kishore Singh on tabla, and Paul Livingstone on sitar. 

Saraswati Nandini Majumdar, an 2010 graduate of Claremont McKenna College, has trained in North Indian classical singing since her childhood in Banaras, India. She also teaches music and works for cross-cultural exchange. 

Nawal Kishore Singh is a performer of the tabla, the North Indian classical drum. Based in India, he teaches and collaborates with world artists. 

Paul Livingstone is a sitarist and senior disciple of the world-famous Ravi Shankar. He is a founder of Ragajazz and the Soul Force Project.

Together, the three artists will present a traditional evening of North Indian classical ragas, featuring voice, sitar, and tabla.
