e are the leading institute for leadership research, theory, and practice. Our Institute's mission is to be a premier academic center for the promotion and understanding of responsible, innovative leadership and to provide unique opportunities for CMC students to develop as outstanding real-world leaders in the public, private and social sectors. We empower students through leadership and social innovation workshops, conferences, programs, and cutting-edge research opportunities. Students can also get involved in internships, student enterprises, and student consulting. Additionally, we bring distinguished alumni to campus to mentor and support students.

Henry R. Kravis '67

Henry R. Kravis ’67 is a pioneer in the social enterprise and social entrepreneur movement. As the founding member and eponymous donor of CMC’s Kravis Leadership Institute, he believes that responsible leadership drives positive change in the world. Mr. Kravis’ vision positioned CMC to become a national example of leadership training by emphasizing curricular innovation, programmatic inclusivity, and the professional pairing of “doing well and doing good.” He also founded the Henry R. Kravis Prize, which recognizes an individual or organization that demonstrates leadership, creativity, and sustainability in the nonprofit sector.
