The Distinguished Speaker Series brings prominent leaders in business, finance, and government to the school to share their perspectives. Lectures are open to the public from 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. in the Security Pacific Dining Room, Athenaeum. Kirby Daley - September 23, 2010
Kirby Daley is senior strategist with Newedge Prime Brokerage, Newedge Group (Hong Kong). As senior strategist and head of capital introductions (Asia) for Newedge Prime Brokerage, he services hedge fund managers and investors all over the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Daley is featured prominently in the media for his views on the global economy, markets, and politics, having had a regular Monday morning weekly spot on CNBC Asia (Asia Squawk Box) since early 2003. During his presentation, Mr. Daley will discuss changes in the global economic environment and careers that might ensue in the coming years.

Scott Cook co-founded Intuit Inc. in 1983 and now serves as chairman of the Executive Committee. He is also the company's former president and chief executive officer and is a member of the board of directors of eBay; Procter & Gamble; the Asia Foundation; the Harvard Business School Dean's Advisory Board; the Center for Brand and Product Management at the University of Wisconsin; and the Intuit Scholarship Foundation.
Doug Peterson '80 P'14 - October 29, 2010
Doug Peterson is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Citibank, N.A., Citigroup's principal banking entity that operates in over 100 countries. Doug has been with Citigroup for 25 years and developed solid expertise in leadership and management across all aspects of the financial services industry.

Until the beginning of 2010, Doug was the CEO of Citigroup, Japan where he oversaw the entire franchise covering Capital Markets, Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Transaction Services and Retail Banking, managing over 15,000 employees. Doug had previously been the Chief Auditor of Citigroup from 2001 to 2004 where he had led the enterprise-wide integration of the Internal Audit teams after the merger of Citicorp and Travelers. In prior roles, he served as country manager in Costa Rica and Uruguay and as a Corporate Banker in Argentina and New York.

Doug received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and History at Claremont McKenna College ('80) and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania ('85).
