Sustainability at CMC
Our Commitment
Claremont McKenna College has made institutional commitments to eliminate net greenhouse gas emissions and to promote research and sustainability education. Membership and participation in the following organizations reflects the College's intent to partner with leading organizations and model best practices as CMC continues stewardship of its campus and natural resources.
Sustainability Fund
The Sustainability Fund provides $5,000/semester in amounts up to $2,000 for innovative and entrepreneurial projects that increase environmental sustainability and awareness at CMC.
Projects are funded throughout the semester on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner you submit your projects the better your chances are of receiving funding. Awardees will be notified within one month after project submission.
A step by step explanation of the application process can be found online.
Proposals will be vetted by the Sustainability Fund Committee, a body of students, staff, and faculty.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to eac.ascmc@gmail.com with questions and comments or to ask for help with the application.
We look forward to seeing your ideas!
