CMS Athletics placed 12th overall in the national NCAA Division III Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings for the fall of 2015. CMS’ top-15 ranking places it in the lead among D-III programs on the West Coast and in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The competition awards points to each athletic department based on its teams’ finishes at the NCAA Championships.

As the College prepares for the installation of two public works of art by Chris Burden and Ellsworth Kelly, the Gould Center and Public Art Committee held a second art symposium in November titled “Public Art—Public Domain” featuring panelists Emi Fontana, Thomas Hirschhorn, and Jeremy Strick. The vent was moderated by Gould Visiting Fellow Philipp Kaiser and Gould Director Robert Faggen, who is Barton Evans and H. Andrea Neves Professor of Literature.
