It is with great pleasure that I serve as your new Alumni Association President. We have, working for and with you, an incredible Alumni Association Board advancing the needs of the College, alumni, and students. Since July, board members have been working hard toward our shared goal of increasing alumni participation and engagement on and off campus, enhancing our volunteer networks, and creating rewarding opportunities for our alumni.
Our on-campus team has worked hard to grow our career services volunteer opportunities and enhance engagement with ImpactCMC and Alumni and Reunion Weekends. We are always looking to provide job and internship opportunities for our student body, and encourage you to reach out if you are looking for interns or full-time employees, or could take a student for a one-day job shadow experience. And, as many of you know, there is no better weekend than Alumni Weekend. We all hope you can make it to reunite with old friends, see the many campus enhancements, and hear about The CMC Strategy. Mark your calendar and join us for Alumni Weekend, April 25-28, 2019.
Regionally, we are re-doubling our efforts to strengthen our programming and chapter volunteer networks. We encourage you to not only attend the incredible academic, social, networking, and athletic opportunities in your area but also request specific programs from the Alumni Office or offer to join your chapter team or host an event.
Communication is key. Please engage your fellow alumni on the Claremont McKenna College Alumni Facebook page and through other CMC social media accounts. You can also participate in outreach by submitting Classnotes and reviewing and sharing the CMC Magazine.
If there is anything the Alumni Association or the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations can do for you, please do not hesitate to reach out. Ideas, comments, concerns, and volunteers are all welcome and encouraged.
