Madrigal Feast Prepares to Dazzle

The 23rd annual Madrigal Feast at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum will commence at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1 and continue for a total of five evenings. The first event will be restricted to CMC guests only; the second and fourth evenings will be open to the general public; the third evening will be reserved for members of the College's Development staff, while the final event will be exclusive to students of CMC and its neighboring Claremont colleges. Due to the popularity of the annual holiday dinner, the event is closed to further reservations.

The Madrigal Feast is a culmination of food, entertainment, and celebration for more than 1,500 students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This year's menu will include corn chowder, salmon, pork loin, salad, and a traditional whiskey pudding. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm. The Claremont Colleges Chamber Choir, directed by Charles W. Kamm, will provide entertainment for the evening. The 20-person choir will be serenading guests with a series of madrigal carols and motets (short coral compositions) sung a cappella.
