Professor Filson is the Academic Director of the Silicon Valley Program and Professor of Economics at Claremont McKenna College. In addition to “Industrial Organization,” he has taught courses in the application of behavioral game theory, the economics of innovation, managerial economics, mathematical economics, sociological economics, and statistics, among many graduate-level courses in economics, game theory, and the application of these disciplines to life sciences.
Professor Filson earned his B.A. with double honors in economics and political studies from the University of Saskatchewan, and his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Rochester. A member of the CMC faculty since 2007, he also serves as the Director of Graduate Programs for the Robert A. Day School of Economics and Finance.
