Mr. Peterson served as president and chief executive Officer of S&P Global from 2013 to 2024 and served as a member of the board of directors from 2013 to 2025. He is currently a member of Morgan Stanley’s board of directors and is executive chairman of OneChronos, a technology company leveraging advances in auction theory and computer science to optimize financial markets. He leads a working group of six multilateral development banks (MDBs) through the World Bank to develop an emerging markets fixed-income asset class. He also serves on the Temasek Americas Advisory Panel and as a mentor for CMI - Chair Mentors International.

Senior Advisor, Director, and Former CEO, Cummins, Inc.
Tom Linebarger served as the chairman and CEO of Cummins, retiring in 2023. Since then, he has served as a senior advisor at McKinsey and Company, Blackstone, and General Catalyst including a stint as an entrepreneur-in-residence. He has served on a number of public, private and nonprofit boards of directors, including Republic Services, Mainspring Energy, Capture6, Rise Up Together (all current), as well as Harley Davidson, Cummins, Pactiv, The Business Roundtable, the Hydrogen Council, and the U.S.-China Business Council.

James joined the Claremont McKenna investment team in March 2007 and was appointed vice president and chief investment officer in March 2011, positions he continues to hold concurrently with his responsibilities at Claremont Investment Management Company. Jeffrey Klein is the retired executive chairman of the board of 1105 Media Inc. He spent 15 years with the Los Angeles Times and The Times Mirror Company, where he held a variety of senior management positions, including senior vice president and general manager, news; senior vice president, consumer marketing; and president of the Times’ Valley Edition. He later served for several years as president and chief executive officer of the California Community News Corporation, which published community newspapers in Southern California. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at CMC.

Former Governor of Montana
Born in Missoula and raised in Helena, blocks from the State Capitol, Steve Bullock is a product of public schools, graduating from Helena High. He received his B.A. from Claremont McKenna College in government and philosophy, politics, and economics, and his law degree from Columbia Law School. He was elected Montana’s 24th governor, serving from 2013 to 2021. As governor, Bullock worked with a Republican-majority legislature to improve access to health care, reduce the influence of dark money in state elections, make record investments in education, protect access to public lands, invest in infrastructure, and strengthen Montana’s economy. Since leaving public office, he has served as an Institute of Politics Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and currently serves as the court-appointed Independent Monitor over Purdue Pharma and as one of three arbitrators overseeing approximately $50 billion in opioid settlements involving drug manufacturers, distributors, and pharmacy chains.

Jennifer is the deputy county executive, serving as the senior executive responsible for all infrastructure and economic development in the largest county in Virginia, leading seven divisions and 1,800 personnel (since March 2025). At the Department of the Air Force (2005–2025), she served as acting under secretary of the Air Force and director of staff, the No. 2 position and senior career official for a 650,000-person department including the Air Force and Space Force. She also served in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 1997 to 2021, retiring after holding 11 positions, including assignments in the Indo-Pacific, European Command, and Afghanistan.

After beginning her career in the U.S. diplomatic service, she transitioned to finance in her thirties. Heather Antecol is Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty, as well as the James G. Boswell Professor of Economics at Claremont McKenna College. Her research focuses on labor economics, including topics such as discrimination, education, immigration, and the effects of family leave policies on labor market outcomes.

Sherylle J. Tan, Ph.D., is an award-winning author and scholar, as well as a leadership educator and coach with over 20 years of experience in higher education, research, and nonprofit consulting. Her research and publications on leadership focus on women, gender, and inclusion. She received the 2022 Award for Outstanding Scholarship from the International Leadership Association, and her book, Women and Leadership: Journey Toward Equity (with Lisa DeFrank-Cole, 2022), was awarded 2022 Most Promising New Textbook by the Textbook and Academic Authors Association.

Darren Filson is the director of the Randall Lewis Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and an economics professor at Claremont McKenna College. His work focuses on the intersections of industrial organization, strategy, and finance. He earned his Ph.D. in 1996 from the University of Rochester and has been teaching at the Claremont Colleges since 1997.

Antoine Grant is an investor in early-stage technology companies, turnaround opportunities, and real estate, based in Los Angeles. Professor Jason Keller joined the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences at Claremont McKenna College as a founding faculty member in 2023. He has enjoyed recruiting amazing faculty, welcoming the first cohorts of KDIS students, and teaching the Codes of Life and Codes of Climate courses. His research (based in the stunning Robert Day Sciences Center) explores wetland ecology, with a particular focus on the mechanistic controls of carbon cycling in northern bogs and fens.

Paul Hurley is the Sexton Professor of Philosophy at Claremont McKenna College, where he has received the Huntoon and Senior Huntoon Teaching Awards, as well as the Crocker and Presidential Awards for Merit. Paul has published articles in ethics, the history of ethics, and meta-ethics. His earlier book-length contribution to these debates, Beyond Consequentialism, was published by Oxford University Press. His most recent book, Against the Tyranny of Outcomes, was published by Oxford in 2024.

Diana Williams
Kravis Professor of Integrated Sciences, Neuroscience, Claremont McKenna College
Professor Williams received her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington before spending 16 years as a faculty member in psychology and neuroscience at Florida State University. In 2024, she joined Claremont McKenna College as a member of the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences. Her laboratory studies the neurobiology of eating behavior, focusing on how the gut and brain communicate during meals and how the brain integrates internal and environmental signals with reward to regulate ingestive behavior.
