Claremont McKenna College is committed to supporting a robust research program, contributing to the intellectual vitality of our institution. The Office of Institutional Philanthropy serves as a central resource for faculty, administrators, and students interested in internal and external funding opportunities. Our office, located at 400 N. Claremont Blvd, provides information, resources, and assistance to faculty and administrators through all phases of the grant process (pre-award to post-award). Services include:

  • Developing research projects
  • Finding/identifying potential funders—foundation, corporate, and government
  • Applying for grant opportunities
  • Building collaborations/program support
  • Assisting proposal development
  • Reviewing and endorsing proposals
  • Working with the Office of the Treasurer to assist with post-award management

Funding Opportunities

Faculty Grant Awards

CMC and W.M. Keck Science Department faculty are research active and routinely submit grant proposals to both federal and private funding agencies.
