Come Home CMC! This year’s Claremont McKenna Alumni Weekend will be held April 21-23, 2017, offering opportunities to reconnect with your fellow alums, professors, and students.

The Alumni Weekend schedule is being finalized and the college is preparing to welcome you. The weekend kicks off on Thursday, April 20 with a reception for the Class of 1967. Celebrating their 50th reunion, the Class of 1967 will be gathering at Packing House Wines at 5:00 p.m. Other CMC alumni will have their own Alumni Networking Mixer, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Casa 425 in the Claremont Village.

If you have missed attending classes, Friday throughout the day you will have the opportunity to audit classes and observe current professors and students in their natural habitat. Friday’s festivities will begin with a Kick-Off Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. at the Alumni Club, home base for all alumni guests at Kravis Center. If you should find yourself getting lost on campus, there will be campus tours 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. to reacquaint yourself with your old stomping ground.

The Third Annual Angel Summit, sponsored by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will take place Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Freeberg Forum. After that you can enjoy  Rice Krispie treats in Parents Library in the Athenaeum for Afternoon Tea at 3 p.m.

At 6:30 you can make your way over to the Gann Quadrangle for the Welcome Reception and All-Class Dinner featuring the musical styling of the Spirit of Oya and Meaghan Maples.

Miss hanging out on Green Beach? Don’t miss the Screen on the Green from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. Popcorn, candy, and other cinema refreshments will be served while you enjoy the movie SING!

Bright and early Saturday morning, you can start your day at a ContinuEd Session and continental breakfast to hear from CMC leadership about how the academic landscape has changed over the years.

At 10:30 in Pickford Auditorium, join President Chodosh as he discusses the current state of the College as well as what the future holds for your alma mater.

While the Class of 1967 attends their Golden Medallion Luncheon, everyone else can head over to the Gann Quadrangle at noon for the Stag-a-palooza! lunch. Here you can enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch, tasty treat, and beer garden before continuing with all the afternoon activities.

Starting at 1:00 p.m., you will have plenty of events to choose from. You can attend a Student-Alumni LGBTQ Mixer, take a Roberts Pavilion Tour, or attend a 1946 Legacy Partners Ice-Cream Social. Throughout the afternoon, you will also have the opportunity to attend multiple ContinuEd Sessions. By 2:00, you might need a break and can head over to the Freeberg Forum for Craft Beer 101. Hopefully you have paced yourself throughout the day to enjoy the Reunion Reception and Photo Shoot at 6:00 p.m. as well as the Reunion Class Dinner before hitting the dance floor and casino at Monte Carlo Night.

After dinner, wander over to Flamson Plaza and McKenna Auditorium at 9:00 p.m. and you will be transported to the decadent world of Monte Carlo. Try your luck at the casino tables, behold the wonders of Magic Grimm, or step onto the starlit dance floor as the Spirit of Oya and DJ GiGi Sweet take the stage. It will be a night to remember and a great way to end an amazing weekend by creating yet another cherished “college” memory.
