Alumni Weekend 2017 is right around the corner

Alumni gather near the Kravis Center for an alumni weekend reception.

Claremont McKenna College Alumni Weekend 2017 is upon us and former students are returning to campus for several activity-packed days through Sunday. You won't want to miss it. If you haven't registered and would like to attend, please come to the Alumni Club located at the Kravis Center upon your arrival.

There are a number of new activities this year for alumni and guests to enjoy including the ContinuED Sessions, with subjects such as the CMC Model UN Simulation (Friday) and student-led SOURCE workshop (Saturday). Other new additions to the weekend itinerary are the After Dinner Lounge Friday night concert with recording artist Meaghan Maples, Screen on the Green (Friday), a CMS Alumni Reception (Friday), and the Athena and Friends Brunch (Sunday).

The Reunion Celebration Dinner (Friday), CMC Wine Tasting (Friday), the State of the College address with President Hiram E. Chodosh (Saturday), Stag-a-palooza Lunch (Saturday), Reunion Class Dinners, and Monte Carlo Night (Saturday) are among the popular events returning in 2017. At Monte Carlo Night, a photo booth will be available for you to snap some pictures with your friends and easily post to your social feed.

This year’s alumni weekend also marks the 50th reunion for the Class of 1967. Alumni Weekend gets underway for the ’67 reunion on Thursday, April 20, with the Class of 1967 Reception, and on Saturday, the 50-year reunion attendees have the Class of 1967 Golden Medallion Luncheon at the Athenaeum.

A full schedule of events is available online.

For those of you who attend Alumni Weekend, we encourage you to share your favorite memories on the Claremont McKenna College and Claremont McKenna College Alumni Association (CMCAA) social media pages (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat) with the hashtag #CMCAlumniWeekend. CMC student Ryan Sung ’18 has designed a few custom Snapchat filters for alumni to share photos and videos of the weekend. Also, be on the lookout for designated selfie spots on campus during the weekend.

As the countdown continues for Alumni Weekend, take a look back at last year’s event to get you ready for 2017. We look forward to seeing you on campus.
