Athenas 12th, Stags 29th at cross country nationals

The Athenas finished 12th and the Stags finished 29th at the NCAA Division III Championships on a wet and windy day at Principia College in Elsah, Ill on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Bryn McKillop SC’18 finished second in the women's race, fighting through 30-mph wind gusts and completing the 6-kilometer course in 20 minutes 45.9 seconds, six seconds behind the winner, Khia Kurtenbach of the University of Chicago. The 12th-place finish marks the seventh-consecutive season that the Athenas have finished in the top 15 in the country. For the Stags, Kevin Huang HM’18 and Thomas D'Anieri ’20 finished in the top 100, in 85th and 93rd, respectively. Huang finished the 8K race in 25:25.23; D'Anieri finished in 25:27.74. Read more about the men's race on the CMS Athletics website.
