CBS Market Watch Columnist BrimelowTo Discuss The Worm In The Apple

CBS Market Watch columnist Peter Brimelow will address a luncheon audience at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum, 11:45 a.m., Monday, Feb. 17, discussing his new book, The Worm in the Apple: How the Teacher Unions Are Destroying American Education. Author and journalist Brimelow, former senior editor at Forbes and National Review, says he considers modern teachers' unions a "central problem in the educational system."

In addition to his work for CBS Market Watch, Brimelow is also an editor of the internet journal VDARE, and president of the Center for American Unity. He is the author of The Wall Street Gurus: How You Can Profit from Investment Newsletters, The Patriot Game, Canada and the Canadian Question, and Alien Nation: Common Sense About America's Immigration Disaster.

The lecture is sponsored by CMC's Henry Salvatori Center for the Study of Individual Freedom in the Modern World, and the Claremont Institute.
