Tune in: Athenas and Stags teams going after national championships

Our academic school year is coming to close with graduation on Saturday, but several of our spring sports teams seasons continue with NCAA Division III postseason competition. The CMS softball, men’s golf, men’s tennis and women’s tennis teams are all competing in their respective NCAA Championships this weekend and the track and field teams compete in their championships later this month.

CMS Softball

The Athenas are competing in the NCAA Regionals today, May 13, at Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash., against George Fox University in the opening game. Regionals continue throughout the weekend. First pitch for the game is at 3:30 p.m. Live stats and video are available.

CMS Men’s Golf

Follow the Stags with live scoring today, May 13, the final day of the NCAA Championships in New York as the Stags go for the national championship. Through much of the competition, CMS has led the field. The Stags teed off for their final round between 9-10 a.m. EDT.

CMS Men’s Tennis

The Stags head into the NCAA Championships as the defending national champions, ranked No. 2 nationally with a 25-4 record. CMS plays UC Santa Cruz in the second round of the NCAAs at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center today, May 13, at 2 p.m. Should CMS advance, the third round of the NCAA Championships are on Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m., also in Claremont. If you are unable to attend, live scoring and video are available for both matches.

CMS Women’s Tennis

The Athenas are hosting the first, second and third rounds of the NCAA Championships this weekend. CMS plays in its second round match at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center on Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m. against a team yet to be determined. Should the Athenas win, they would host a third round match on Sunday, May 15. If you are unable to attend, live scoring and video is available for both matches.
