Lisa Langdon Koch, Associate Professor of Government, was the invited speaker for a Princeton University virtual seminar, “Public Attitudes in Nuclear-armed States toward Nuclear Weapons Use: Does Nuclear Weapon Yield Matter?,” which explored whether the world’s most destructive weapons are becoming easier to use. In the seminar, one of many hosted by Princeton’s Program on Science and Global Security established in 1974, Koch discussed her new research project that examines reasoning and perceptions regarding the possible use of lower-yield, or “battlefield,” nuclear weapons in conflict.
