Lectures are open to the public from 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. in the Security Pacific Dining Room, Athenaeum. Hinh T. Dinh is currently the Lead Economist in the Office of the Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank in Washington, DC. Prior to this assignment, he served as a Lead Economist in the Africa Region at the Bank (1998-2008), in charge of advising its management and staff on strategy, economic policy, and related operational issues for Southern Africa, Central and West Africa. In that capacity, he worked on Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Benin, Niger, Togo, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Burundi, Cameroon, Gabon, Sao Tome, and Equatorial Guinea. Between 1991 and 1998, he served in the Finance Complex at the Bank, working on countries in Asia (China, India, and Indonesia) and Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina). His work on portfolio concentration led the Bank to change its lending policy on largest borrowers. Between 1979 and 1991, he worked on Jordan, Syria, Tunisia, and Egypt.

Joel has been an entrepreneur and business manager most of his life. After attending Claremont McKenna College and Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Joel worked at the Quaker Oats Company for 8 years. He then founded Orange Glo International, the inventors of Orange Glo, OxiClean, and Kaboom, with his parents. Joel and his family sold Orange Glo to Church & Dwight/Arm & Hammer in 2006. A year later Joel co-founded FullBar and Brainetics, two consumer products companies that distribute their products through retailers across North America.

Ms. Fayne Levinson is an experienced executive and corporate director. From 1997 until 2004, Ms. Fayne Levinson was a Partner of GRP Partners, a venture capital firm that invests in early stage technology companies. Prior to that, Ms. Fayne Levinson was an executive at Creative Artists Agency, Inc.; a Partner at Wings Partners, a Los Angeles based private equity firm; President of Fayne Levinson Associates, an independent consulting firm; a Senior Vice President of American Express Travel Related Services Co., Inc.; and a Partner of McKinsey & Company, where she became the first woman partner in 1979. Ms. Fayne Levinson also serves as a member of the Boards of DemandTec, Inc., Ingram Micro, Inc., NCR Corporation and The Western Union Company.
