2026 Benefits Open Enrollment

Dear Benefits-Eligible Faculty & Staff,   

The 2026 Benefits Open Enrollment period is Monday, October 27 - Friday, November 14 at 5:00 p.m.  

This is an “active” Open Enrollment which means all employees must re-select their benefits for 2026.

A prize will be awarded to all who complete their open enrollment on the first day Monday, October 27!

All benefit elections are effective January 1, 2026 and will remain in effect through December 31, 2026 unless you experience a qualifying life event that would allow you to make a mid-year change.  

Please review the 2026 Benefits Guide (EnglishSpanish) carefully, as it contains detailed information about the 2026 benefits.  Open enrollment is the time to review and make changes to your benefits including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, health savings account, and financial protections such as AD&D and life insurance. The 2026 rates are attached to this email. 

Below are a few key details about this year’s open enrollment:  

  • Vision Plan Enrollment: Employees must now actively elect the free Vision Core plan during Open Enrollment.
  • Medical/Rx Coverage Tiers: Medical/Rx plans are moving from 3 to 4 coverage tiers, with a new Employee + Child(ren) option.
  • Kaiser Specialty Prescription Drugs: Kaiser specialty drugs will shift to 20% coinsurance (max $150) with coupon and biosimilar savings options.
  • GLP-1 Weight-Loss Drug Eligibility: Starting 2026, GLP-1 coverage requires BMI over 40; current users remain covered if guidelines are met.
  • Mandatory Renewal of Elections: All employees must re-enroll in benefits this year due to the new tier structure.
  • Dependents for AD&D: Employees electing family AD&D must actively designate dependents for accurate coverage.

How to complete your open enrollment starting October 27 through November 14:

Please log into Workday using your network credentials, which are the same credentials that you use to access your email. For assistance with your credentials, please contact the IT Help Desk at (909) 607-0911. 

  • Once you are in Workday, check your inbox for the “Open Enrollment Change” task beginning on October 27. 
  • Review your current benefit elections and make any desired plan changes for the new year. 
  • After completing your selections, click the “I Agree” button on your Enrollment Summary page and click “Submit” to finalize your enrollment. We strongly recommend printing out the confirmation of your elections for your records.
