Undergraduate in physics at Duke University; Three years sea duty as a naval officer, USN; Bachelor of Divinity degree at Candler School of Theology; MS degree in mathematics, Emory University; PhD degree in theology and philosophy of religion, Claremont Graduate School; Methodist minister; Professor of Mathematics and Philosophy, Emeritus, Claremont McKenna College; Fifty years teaching at CMC in the Mathematics, Philosophy and Religious Studies departments as of 2014.
