Biography

Rebeca Castaneda Leffler is a visiting assistant professor of government at Claremont McKenna College. Her research and teaching interests include American political thought, literature and politics, rhetoric and poetics, and the American presidency. More specifically, she is interested in how political philosophy and literature have influenced the American political tradition and how American statesmen have used rhetoric in times of crisis. Leffler earned a Ph.D. in political science from Claremont Graduate University and a B.A. in English from California State University, Los Angeles.
