Parking and Resources

Vehicle Registration & Parking

Claremont McKenna College requires all vehicles parked on campus to display a valid permit or temporary permit, and students must register their vehicles annually with Campus Safety. First-year students are not allowed to bring cars to campus. Parking regulations include restrictions for specific zones, and students are responsible for knowing and following all rules to avoid fines, booting, or towing.

Motor Vehicles

CMC students, faculty, and staff must register their vehicles to be eligible to park on campus. To learn more, review the Parking and Motor Vehicle Policy and Parking and Traffic Regulations.

Register your vehicle

Visitors to campus should inquire about guest parking permits through the hosting department or community member being visited.

Bicycles

Bicycles are the most popular mode of transportation in Claremont. You are welcome to bring your bike to campus and to take advantage of the CMC Bike Shop for simple, free repairs. We strongly encourage you to ride your bike safely, wear a helmet, and be attentive to traffic, pedestrians, road conditions, your speed, potential hazards, and any school policies or state laws related to bike ownership and use. Motorized bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc. are not permitted to be used on the interior of the campus. Please register your bike for free and use a strong and reliable U-lock to secure your bike when not in use.
