February 20: Best Self to Bold Breakthrough: How Women Build Confidence, Visibility, and Influence. The 17th Annual Women and Leadership Workshop featured keynote speaker Dr. Marilou Ryder, author, speaker, leadership strategist, and Program Chair for the University of Massachusetts Global doctoral program in organizational leadership. Her keynote shared practical strategies to help women strengthen confidence, increase visibility, communicate their value, and lead with greater presence and purpose. CMC Athenaeum
2025
April 1: Master Class with Beth Murphy & Isabelle Murphy: The Power of Social Impact Storytelling. Beth Murphy and Isabelle Murphy explored how storytelling can drive social change by amplifying voices, fostering empathy, and inspiring action. Drawing on Beth Murphy's media campaigns and Isabelle Murphy's GLAM Girl (Global Local Athletic Movement) project, they shared practical strategies for using media to create lasting impact. March 31: Athenaeum Dinner with Beth Murphy. Award-winning filmmaker and changemaker Beth Murphy presented a screening of her documentary Afghan Dreamers, followed by a discussion of her work documenting Afghan women's pursuit of education and the power of storytelling to inspire action. CMC alumnus and immigration attorney William Menard ‘09 joined Murphy for the Q&A, sharing updates on his efforts to help the Afghan Dreamers female robotics team obtain U.S. visas and reunite with their families. 2024
February 23: Women in Leadership, Equal Citizenship, and Reproductive Justice. The 16th Annual Women and Leadership Workshop featured keynote speaker Elizabeth Wydra '98, president of the Constitutional Accountability Center. Wydra examined the relationship between reproductive autonomy and equal citizenship, discussed the constitutional implications of the Supreme Court's reversal of Roe v. Wade, and reflected on her experiences leading a constitutional law organization through these legal challenges. McKenna Auditorium.
2023
October 3: The Feminist Fight Forward: Lessons from 50 Years of Ms. Magazine. Jennifer Weiss-Wolf, Carmen Rios, and Linda Perkins of Ms. magazine's executive and advisory boards joined a conversation moderated by CMC History Professor Diana Selig. The panel explored the future of feminism, movement journalism, and the role of storytelling in advancing advocacy and activism. CMC Athenaeum.
February 10: Redefining Professionalism Through an Intersectional Lens. Marissiko Wheaton-Greer and Vince Greer of Greer Consultants led a workshop that developed a shared understanding of the challenges and barriers experienced by women and other historically marginalized groups in the workplace. McKenna Auditorium.

April 2: COVID-19 and the Great Reset: Effects on Work and Life. A panel discussion and networking luncheon examined the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on work and life. Bauer Center, Founders Room.
March 1: Student Reception, Dinner, and Presentation with Stacey Vanek Smith. NPR commentator and author Stacey Vanek Smith discussed her book Machiavelli for Women: Defend Your Worth, Grow Your Ambition, and Win the Workplace. CMC Athenaeum.

March 24: CMC Conversations: Women and Leadership. Director of Internships and Research at KLI and Visiting Professor Sherylle Tan and Emma David '21 discussed the importance of women in leadership, the challenges women face, and the origins of the Women and Leadership Workshop.
March 23: Representation and Responsible Leadership: A Conversation with Candace Valenzuela '06. A student reception accompanied this virtual CMC Athenaeum event.
2020
February 7: Women and Leadership Workshop 20/20: Envision Your Future. The 11th Annual Women and Leadership Workshop welcomed keynote speaker Dr. Cindy Pace, a global expert on talent, diversity, multicultural identities, purpose, and inclusive organizational leadership. Her keynote focused on purpose, meaning, and building connections, followed by an interactive activity and networking with CMC alumnae. McKenna Auditorium.

February 22: 10th Annual Women and Leadership Workshop. Pamela B. Gann, J.D., President Emerita of Claremont McKenna College, Trustee Professor of Legal Studies and George R. Roberts Fellow, and Senior Fellow at the Kravis Leadership Institute, delivered the keynote address. The program concluded with a panel featuring CMC alumnae San San Lee '85, Harmony Palmer '13, and Charlie Stoddard Fitzpatrick '94. McKenna Auditorium.

Claremont students attended the UCR conference featuring California Senator Connie Leyva, Assemblymembers Eloise Gomez Reyes and Sabrina Cervantes, and multiple panels and workshops on women's political leadership, including sessions with IGNITE.
November 1: Gayle Greene, Emerita Professor of English at Scripps College, discussed her memoir,Missing Persons. Founders Room, Honnold Mudd Library.
October 28: Scripps in Residence: A Conversation with Hannah-Beth Jackson '71 and Poppy MacDonald '97. Hampton Living Room, Scripps College.
October 26: Scripps Presents: Nasty Women Series.The series concluded with a discussion of female identity, feminism, and politics. Hampton Room, Scripps College.

April 9: First Women and Leadership Workshop. Women leaders from a variety of fields participated in presentations on women and leadership, followed by opportunities for students to engage one-on-one with the women leaders and a luncheon keynote discussion on leadership in a global environment.
