Athenaeum Student Manager

 

 

Server

Job description: Set-up, serve, and clean-up functions involving food service at the Athenaeum.

Qualifications: Ability to work as a team member with fellow students as well as serving fellow students, faculty, and staff. Able to follow direction and instruction. Uniform requires closed-toed black shoes and black pants or skirt; Athenaeum to supply polo shirt and apron.

Starting wage: $14.00 per hour

Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday, 5-10 hours/week
Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Shifts available when needed for special Ath functions


 

Maitre D'

Job description: Supervise, train, and schedule a crew of student workers covering a meal shift. Lunch shifts are typically 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner shifts are typically 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Qualifications: Previous experience and knowledge of Athenaeum food service procedures. Able to motivate and lead a team of students serving fellow students, faculty, and staff. Uniform requires semi-professional attire.

Starting wage: $14.50 per hour

Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday, 5-10 hours/week
Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Shifts available when needed for special Ath functions


 

Security

Job description: Ensure building and contents are secure throughout shift. This includes maintaining and monitoring wine station, locking and alarming building, maintaining a presence throughout the building during the shift, answering questions, and being available in case of difficulties.

Qualifications: Responsible, dependable, and punctual with a knowledge of the Athenaeum's working policies and procedures. Uniform requires semi-professional attire.

Starting wage: $14.00 per hour

Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday, 5-10 hours/week
Friday, Saturday, Sunday- on demand


 

Kitchen

Job description: Assist cooks in kitchen with the preparation and serving of food.

Qualifications: Dependable and reliable with an interest in food prep and developing culinary skills. Uniform requires closed-toed shoes; Athenaeum to supply apron.

Starting wage: $14.00 per hour

Days/Hours: Monday-Sunday, 1-10 hours/week
