Server

Job description: Set-up, serve, and clean-up functions involving food service at the Athenaeum.

Qualifications: Ability to work as a team member with fellow students as well as serving fellow students, faculty, staff, speakers, and other guests. Able to follow direction and instruction. Uniform requires white collared shirt, closed-toed black shoes and black pants or skirt; Athenaeum to supply apron.

Starting wage: $16.00 per hour

Days/Hours: Monday–Thursday, 5–10 hours/week
Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Shifts available when needed for special Ath functions


Maitre D'

Job description: Supervise, train, and schedule a crew of student workers covering a meal shift. Lunch shifts are typically 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner shifts are typically 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Qualifications: Previous experience and knowledge of Athenaeum food service procedures. Able to motivate and lead a team of students serving fellow students, faculty, and staff. Uniform requires semi-professional attire.

Starting wage: $16.50 per hour

Days/Hours: Monday–Thursday, 5–10 hours/week
Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Shifts available when needed for special Ath functions


Kitchen

Job description: Assist professional cooks and staff in kitchen with the preparation and serving of food.

Qualifications: Dependable and reliable with an interest in food prep and developing culinary skills. Uniform requires closed-toed shoes; Athenaeum to supply apron.

Starting wage: $16.00 per hour

Days/Hours: Monday–Sunday, 1–10 hours/week
