2021-22 Presidential Initiative Faculty Fellows on Anti-Racism across Disciplines

In Spring 2021, the Presidential Initiative on Anti-Racism and the Black Experience in America launched a Faculty Fellows program and Teaching Innovations Grant Program to enhance the capacity of CMC faculty to address issues of race, racism, and Black experiences. Faculty selected for the programs will present their work and works-in-progress spanning such disciplines as finance, psychology, religious studies, writing, and government.

Andrew Busch is the Crown Professor of Government and George R. Roberts Fellow. 

Nishant Dass is the Charles E. Stone Associate Professor of Finance and director of the Financial Economics Institute. 

Megan Davidson is the interim director of the Center for Writing and Public Discourse.

Sharda Umanath is associate professor of psychological sciences and director of the Umanath Memory and Aging Laboratory. 

Jamel Velji is associate professor of religious studies and author of Apocalyptic History of the Early Fatimid Empire
