The long-awaited groundbreaking for Roberts Pavilion is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for the ceremony, which is set for Tuesday, Feb. 11. All are welcome at the event, which begins at 4 p.m. outside the entrance to Ducey Gymnasium. A community reception at 4:30 p.m. follows the groundbreaking ceremony.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA announced its sites for NCAA Championship events through 2018 and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athletics and the Biszantz Family Tennis Center have been selected as the host of the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Tennis Championships.

CMS will host the event May 21-26, 2018, marking the fourth time since 2009 that CMS will have hosted the NCAA team and individual championships. CMS hosted the men's championships in 2009 and then the inaugural combined men's and women's championships in 2011.

MONTERREY, Mexico – Head coach Kyle Sweeney of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps football team is one of six NCAA Division III coaches selected to the coaching staff of Team Stars and Stripes for the fifth annual Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars). The all-star team consisting of 51 seniors from 25 NCAA Division III non-scholarship football programs will face Mexico’s CONADEIP All-Stars in the 36,000-capacity Estadio Tecnológico on the Tec de Monterrey campus on Saturday, Dec. 21, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. CST. Team Stars and Stripes is 2-2 all-time in the game, winning 32-15 in 2012.

With the announcement on Monday, Nov. 11, by the NCAA that the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps volleyball and women’s soccer teams have qualified for their respective NCAA Championships, four fall CMS teams in all are participating in NCAA postseason competition.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Head coach Paul Settles of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s tennis team has been named College Coach of the Year by the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA). The USPTA announced its 2013 award winners on Friday, Sept. 27 at its annual World Conference in Florida.

With September past its midpoint, each of the seven Claremont-Mudd-Scripps’ fall varsity sports have had their first games, matches or meets.
