Venture Capital Program

Venture Capital Program

The RLCIE Venture Capital Program is a fall-semester program that introduces students to key concepts and tools that venture capitalists use to formulate and pitch investment theses. Prospective entrepreneurs and innovators will benefit by understanding how startups get evaluated, and prospective venture capitalists will gain insight into how VCs make investment decisions. The program is led by practicing venture capitalists.

Students in the program are grouped into teams of 2–4 people. Each team investigates industries, technologies, and/or business ecosystems specified by the participating alumni with the goal of formulating an investment thesis. Teams will present their theses in a pitch competition. Past areas of investigation have included Fintech, Enterprise AI, Cybersecurity, eCommerce Enablement, and Data & Cloud Infrastructure.
