On April 11, CMC’s Inland Empire Center hosted the Coachella Valley Economic Forecast Conference in Indian Wells. The event was sponsored by both the Lowe and the Rose Institutes at CMC. Set against a background of slopes baking in the Southern California sun, economists, healthcare experts, lawyers, and real estate developers discussed health and wealth forecasts for the Greater Palm Springs area.

Johann Olay Koss

Claremont McKenna College announced today that four-time Olympic gold medalist and nonprofit leader Johann Olav Koss has been awarded the eighth annual Henry R. Kravis Prize in Leadership. The Kravis Prize, which carries a $250,000 award designated to the recipient organization, recognizes extraordinary leadership in the nonprofit sector. Koss will be presented with The Kravis Prize at a ceremony on April 18 held on the CMC campus.

The Claremont International Relations Society (CIRS), a 5C group, will be hosting a one-day Career Conference on Friday, March 8 that is open to students from all the colleges. The conference, which will be held on campus in the Founders Room in Bauer Center, is aimed at students who wish to learn about careers in different areas from experienced CMC alumni.
