While we encourage every student to come and meet with a career coach on an individual basis, we also offer group resources, such as how-to videos and workshops. We also provide funding mechanisms for summer internships as well as during the semester.
Career Services has created a series of brief animated videos to help you navigate the many tools and resources offered to students. This is a great way to learn the basics and gets some of your questions answered. To access the YouTube playlist, click here.
We offer a number of skills-based workshops throughout the academic year, focused on resumes, cover letters, interviewing, Handshake, and much more. We also offer strengths workshops where individuals or teams can get their strengths assessed. Student clubs can request one of these (or a specialized) workshop for their members by contacting Career Services.
The Sponsored Internships & Experiences (SIE) program is a unique way to help equalize opportunities for all our students, particularly first- and second-year students, by providing them with funding that allows them to take advantage of transformative opportunities. During the academic year, Career Services provides experiential funding to enable students to participate in career development opportunities they would not otherwise be able to afford, such as attending professional conferences, participating in in-person interviews, or visiting graduate schools.
