Health insurance coverage is required for all continuing and newly matriculated Claremont McKenna College students. It is the student’s responsibility to keep the College informed of changes in insurance coverage and coverage must be confirmed every year. Enrolled domestic students who carry personal insurance coverage may waive enrollment in the Claremont Colleges Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) by submitting information and proof of coverage annually via their CMC Current Student Portal. Students will be automatically enrolled in the Claremont Colleges Student Health Insurance Plan unless proof of comparable coverage is provided and a waiver is submitted via the online waiver portal by the August 5th, 2019 deadline.
Open enrollment for the 2019/20 academic year begins June 1st, 2019 through August 5th, 2019. Students can obtain a 100 percent refund one week before or on the first day of class. After the first day of class the medical coverage charge is non-refundable.
Questions regarding the Student Health Insurance Plan should be addressed to Lyn Hughes, Administrative Assistance in the Dean of Students Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
