Arabic Language Program, Claremont McKenna College

The Arabic program at CMC offers introductory, intermediate and advanced Arabic courses. The program also offers advanced Arabic language courses and courses in English translation including: Reading in Arabic Poetry, Reading in Arabic Prose, and Trends and Movements in Middle Eastern Culture. The Arabic program now includes a Middle Eastern Studies major. The program will continue to host a variety of visitors, such as musicians, calligraphers, poets, politicians, and literary figures. The program will be planning activities including a Middle Eastern film festival and several workshops.
