One-on-One Conferences

One-on-one conferences are tailored to your language interests. When you meet with Mellissa Martinez, Megan Gallagher, or Chloe Martinez they will spend from 45-60 minutes with you. Your purpose may be to get questions answered, work on a class assignment, or address the development of a skill, such as jumping into discussions. Workshops

Small group workshops address the most common inquiries and are scheduled on an ongoing basis. These utilize a hands-on approach that includes both explanation and application or practice time.

Date TBD: “Writing at CMC – Tips for Multilingual Writers” : learn about writing expectations at CMC and pick up strategies that will help you craft effective written work.
Date TBD: “Brushing Up on Citation Skills: MLA, APA, and Chicago Style”: practice effective citation strategies and learn about citation styles that will be relevant in your classes.
Date TBD: “Construction Grammar”: learn how to incorporate prose that will strengthen your writing.
